Sunday the Braves fell back into the worst record in the Majors with a 13-2 loss to the Cubs and a Twins win over Boston. Hugh said “The Braves had an opportunity yesterday, and couldn’t make it happen.” At Turner Field tonight the Braves open an early week series with the Reds with Aaron Blair facing Daniel Wright.
In the NBA Draymond Green won’t play for the Warriors tonight in their potential title clinching game against Cleveland. He was suspended for making contact with LeBron James’ groin in Friday’s Game Four. Hugh said “I just think he (Draymond) can’t control his motor skills, he’s always in the wrong place at the wrong time, and just so happens to be when he’s around someone’s groin area.” Golden State leads the series three games to one.
In San Jose Sunday night the Pittsburgh Penguins won their fourth Stanley Cup in franchise history, finishing off the Sharks in six games with a 3-1 win. Sidney Crosby was named Conn Smythe Trophy winner as playoff MVP, it’s the first Cup for Crosby and the Penguins since 2009. All six games in the series were decided by two goals or less.
